The orange cake is a rare variation of the Art which has little declinations: an orange cake is basically always a Moelleux. It is also known as the Gateau à l'orange de la mère Blanc in a way to dignify such a weakness in variety. The name comes from the actual grandmother of the French chef Georges Blanc.
