Exciting polaritons with quantum light is a concept which we (LĂłpez Carreño et al.[1]) proposed to cut the Gordian knot of bringing polaritons in the genuine quantum regime. A version of this idea was implemented by Ă. Cuevas et al.[2] in what provided the first observation of the quantized polariton field.
This page is not chiefly on our own efforts on this topic but also gathers progress and results from other groups.
