Bryce DeWitt

Carl Bryce Seligman (born as; on 8 January (1923)23 September (2004)) changed his name to Bryce DeWitt, after his mother. Apparently, this so angered Felix Bloch that the latter blocked a position at Stanford 20 years after the name change!

DeWitt is famous for having revived, and expanded, Everett's many-words interpretation of quantum mechanics.[1]
