Alcobendas is a city nearby Madrid with several attractions, though not of cultural or historical interest. Namely, it has modern infrastructures (Valdelasfuentes) and a series of famous multinational chains (Ikea, Decathlon, etc.) The Valdelatas nature reserve, nearby the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, is also worth a detour for locals.
As everybody else, we never go there to visit something. We gave it a try without expecting much on 3 October (2015) with, to our surprise, some level of success.
Unlike Tres Cantos, there is at least a church with a decent looking aspect in Alcobendas.
The Centro de Arte, it made our visit worthwhile after all.
