Staffs is a shire of England, historically also including Wolverhampton, Walsall and other important towns before the creation of the West Midlands county in 1974.
Its most emblematic city is probably Stafford, the most important one being Stoke-on-Trent. It is the starting point of the northern England's outstanding natural beauty, with the Peak district, Cannock Chase and bits of the national forest beginning where Staffordshire ends.
