HBT.jpg

Robert Hanbury Brown is one of Fabrice's (scientific) personal hero. He is mainly known for the Hanbury Brown-Twiss effect, which is still a cornerstone of quantum optics, after being its starting point.

A full list of his bibliography is compiled here (by the Royal Society Publishing Organisation [1]).

He wrote several books of a strong personal character, some technical, such as Boffin and The Intensity Interferometer, others religious and/or spiritual, such as There are no dinosaurs in the bible (his grandfather, also called Robert Hanbury Brown, but a Sir, wrote The Land of Goshen and the Exodus), still others universal, such as Man and the Stars.
