January

We're in Spain.

• 2: Our first excursion of the year, in la Pedriza, taming El Caliz.

February

• 15: We visit Pedraza in the Provincia de Segovia:

• 16: Elena performs Ausente and Bang Bang (see below) at the MiLupe festival:

• 17: Fabrice's Google-scholar $h$-factor gets to 30 and i10 index to 50.

• 23: Elena performs (6 songs) with Bajo Cuerda at the MiLupe concert in the Sala Legend of Tres Cantos.

• 24: Julia now writes fluently (and faultlessly) under dictation (she's 4 years, 1 month & 21 days) and made her first bullet-list:

• 27: Julia writes her first email. While it took me about a dozen years to go from handwriting to the computer, Julia took this step in 3 days.

March

• 1: Julia rides the bike alone (for small distances).

• 3: We visit Peñafiel and Castrillo del Duero.

• 9: Julia (with technical help from her mum) realises her first stop-motion movie: Bubu hace tontunas que Julia no se espera:

• 16: We make a blitz day trip to France (for the car ITV) and marvel at Saint-Jean-de-Luz.

April

• 1: Julia bikes all by herself, starting the bike and riding large distances. Fabrice's tooth prosthesis operation completes.

• 6: First concert of MAS.

• 13‒21: Our Easter trip with Antoine brings us to five Autonomous communities of the Eastern part of Spain, visiting famous landmarks, stunning landscapes, important cities, the coast and the birthplace of three rivers.

May

• 4: We visit Wales with Inma (with Boffis castle and the Welsh coastal path as the main highlights).

• 6: We can finally admire the Ironbridge (without scaffolding).

June

• 7: I reach my first over-2000 rating in Lichess (for puzzle solving):

• 9: The Vals del Vampiro is released.

• 20: Lichess Rating over 2100 in puzzles.

August

• 5: Elena makes a cameo at her local gym.

• 9: We visit the Hardwick Hall.

• 10: We finally visit Lincoln.

• 16: Julia's first selfie:

• 24: We visit Blackpool, including the first time to the Circus and to an Aquarium for Julia:

• 31: We visit Aston and become members of the Birmingham Museums Trust. Julia shot her fist picture with a reflex camera at this occasion (on the 3rd attempt):

2nd & 1st attempts. The camera is heavy so keeping the image horizontal is the main hurdle.

September

• 1: Elena releases Cómo será

• 15: I beat my lichess rating: (1977). Previous was 1975 on 4 August (2016).

• 19: We finally get our own campervan!

• 25: We finally visit Saint Floret.

• 28: We visit les Grottes de Perrier and Montaigut-le-Blanc.

• 29: We finally visit Murol.
