Almagro

Almagro is the most beautiful town in Ciudad Real, in Castilla-La Mancha. Elena's parents have lifelong friends there (Chema y Luz).

A XVIth century type of public theatre, set up in courtyards between houses.
A typical Spanish open-air theatre, the one in Almagro is the only remaining of its genre.
It is also valuable for having remained faithful to its original design as well as to remain in activity.
It is one of the iconic places of Spain and the highlight of Almagro, with a popular but potent character.
The rest of Almagro is also worth seeing, with characteristic Castillan buildings.
Its Plaza Mayor is one that is instantly recognizable.
With beautiful arcades supporting green little houses.
On both sides of the Plaza.
