Klaus Mølmer is a Danish quantum physicist, long time associated to the University of Aarhus but, unfortunately, he later moved to the Niels Bohr Institute in Copenhagen, breaking a bit the aura of a more mysterious and intriguing place.
He is one of the important and most famous theorists of quantum optics, where he developed the quantum Monte Carlo method.[1] He appears to be especially noted for his implementation of an improved version of the Cirac-Zoller CNOT gate, known as the Mølmer-Sorensen gate.
He was one of the Multiphotonics (2024) workshop.
