Faro de Moncloa
The Faro de Moncloa is a telecommunication tower in Madrid which hosts a 92m high viewing platform now opened to visitors (?!)
It affords one of the precious panoramas of Madrid. The view above is from the Cerro de los Ángeles.

We made many attempts to visit it, since the early days of its existence. We could actually access the deck only on 21 August (2018) (with Camilo).
The faro is a familiar sight from Madrid.
Here from the Manzanares, that we strolled till our visiting time.
The tower is 110m high, the deck itself is 92m high.
It is 180° only but you still get almost 360°visibility from the back windows.
Elena on the forefront viewing deck.
Set back is another platform with indications.
The panoramic desk is excellent.
Unfortunately, the windows are not as clean as they should. This actually bothers more a direct viewing than taking pictures.
The calle de la Princesa from the Arco de la Victoria till the tall building of Plaza de España.
The Arco built by Franco to celebrate his victory in this harshly fought part of the city, is 49m high, bringing Minerva quite close.
In the distance, the Torrespaña (aka Piruli) on the left and the Torres de Colón on the right.
The cuatro torres (four towers) with their uncanny ability to always hide one of them.
With the iconic Puerta de Europa.
The Edificio Telefónica. One of the most easily recognizable panoramic landmark of Madrid.
Together with other high buildings, it draws the Gran Via in the sky of Madrid.
The Plaza Mayor can be found but not quite our spot, as we know from our own panoramic view.
Opera and San Isidro's cupola.
The Almudena and the Royal palace.
The museo del traje and the Instituto del Patrimonio Cultural de España.
Without any famous landmark, Madrid takes an air of a south-American megalopolis.
The cuatro torres (in the usual count of 3) with Julia.
A last pause before leaving these wonderful views behind.
