MCMLXXVII is the year Fabrice was born (on September 30). It is also when (also in September) the Voyager probes were sent into space. They still occasionally provide useful scientific data (as is, hopefully, Fabrice).
In our field of research, this is the year that Kimble et al. reported the first antibunching of light[1] and that of J. H. Eberly and K. Wodkiewicz's "physical spectrum"[2], which opens an era of time-resolved spectroscopy. We would generalize those results in 2012 with our Theory of Frequency-Filtered and Time-Resolved N-Photon Correlations[3].
