The Pyrenees, being the frontier between [[Fabrice]] and [[Elena]]'s countries of origin, should be a privileged place to try our [[mountaineering]] skills. However, because they are so far, and time is so little, we actually do not give them the attention they deserve. We merely get sad and thoughtful whenever crossing them. Pyrenees

The Pyrenees, being the frontier between Fabrice and Elena's countries of origin, is more of a symbol than a mountains range for us. It should be a privileged place to try our mountaineering skills. However, because they are so far, and time is so little, we actually do not give them the attention they deserve. We merely get sad and thoughtful whenever crossing them. Our first in-depth exploration was during our Summer holidays (2015) with the French family.

By many people's accounts, the free Topo Pirineos is the best digital map around, far better than its commercial (and pricy) equivalents, although it is not routable (?!). You can use less detailed (but routable) Open Street Map for that purpose. The possible options are well discussed here.
