In Saint-Rémy de Chargnat. Elena met Fabrice's family on this occasion. This was—as had always been—a working day for my parents, and you can see my father's face covered with flour. The dinner was however celebrated with due honors, featuring oysters and Château Cheval Blanc. This would also turn out to be my father's last Christmas, as he would pass away three days short of the next one.
