Carlos is a Doctor of [[Physics]] (see [[Carlos Sanchez's thesis|his thesis]]), a gifted Researcher, specialist of light-matter quantum interactions. He was one of our most direct and fruitful coworker as a student at the {{uam}}, particularly on cQED topics, where he led the discovery of the [http://www.nature.com/nphoton/journal/v8/n7/abs/nphoton.2014.114.html bundler], for which he was awarded the 2017 prize for the [https://gefes-rsef.org/2017/11/30/carlos-sanchez-munoz-premio-gefes-2017-mejor-tesis-teorica/ best theoretical physics thesis in condensed matter] <wz tip="Mejor tesis doctoral teórica en Física de la Materia Condensada.">(es)</wz> by GEFES. He made a post-doc <wz tagtotip="csmjpn" WIDTH="400px">(and more)</wz> with Franco Nori in [[Japan]] then a [[Marie Curie]] fellow in [[Oxford]] (initially with [[Diego Porras]] who however moved back to [[Spain]] in the meantime). He is now a young and active group leader in [[Madrid]].
