Blackpool
Blackpool is an English town in Lancashire.
Gallery
The best of Blackpool is its beach.
Here the North (Victorian) Pier.
The second best is the Blackpool tower.
Together they give an air of everywhereness.
Not in Egypt.
Not in Paris.
When the tide is low, you can walk beyond the Pier.
The sea in retreat leaves a lot of black pools where to bath.
This is true also for the Central and South piers.
There is a nice promenade.
Which you can admire from the tower viewpoint.
People dancing on the comedy carpet.
Julia started to get an interest in taking her own pictures.
The window floor and screen give a fantastic view of England's best beach.
Flying.
Floating.

But the safety net severely impedes the view.

Back down the tower: the ballroom.
These giant blades of grass are also a big sensation of the waterfront.

In England, Pier is often synonymous with attractions.

Sea Life
Sea Life is Blackpool's aquarium and the first that Julia visited (on 25 August (2019)).
The tank of the sharks is the main attraction.
The Ocean Tunnel affords great views of sharks, but also turtles, stingrays and other big fishes.
Less impressive but more colourful.
This little one was very ugly but very playful (or upset).
Stingrays and sharks are the most gracious underwater (they are related species).
In this tank, you can just wait for them to visit you.
