Aller
Aller (Ayer in Asturiano) is a river that gives its name to a Spanish municipality in the south of Asturias with the following parishes:

- Moreda
- Murias
- Nembra
- Peḷḷuno
- Piñeres

Since Nembra is one of its parishes, of which Los Tornos is in turn a village, Aller is technically our municipality, but since in that particular case, it is not attached to an eponymous town or village, Moreda is, instead, the reference place for us, along with the bigger Mieres from the neighboring and the—this time—almost eponymous municipality ("almost", since the town itself is Mieres del Camino).
The Aller River flows into the Caudal, and due to its coal-rich basin (along with nearby Mieres and Lena) has made the wider area a site for coal-mining. A natural attraction are the gorges and ravines of the Pino and Aller rivers. There are routes that follow the paths of the traditional herdsmen from the villages at the foot of the mountains up the slopes. Peaks include the Torres, the Toneo, Peña Redonda, the Retriñón and Peña Mea.
