Tettenhall

Tettenhall (pronounced "Tettnull" by locals) is a village in England within the the global Wolverhampton area (and jurisdiction, since 1966) in the West Midlands. We live there in Cornwall Road since 26 September (2022) and Julia attends the Tettenhall college.

The name itself seems to derive from "Teotta's Halh", the identity of Teotta being unclear. It was on the famous London-Holyhead road. It was the place of a decisive (for the Anglo-Saxon) battle of Tettenhall against the vikings, it has its own breed of pears (the "Tettenhall Dick") and is one of the few places in England to have two village greens (the Upper and the Lower Greens).
