Swimming Pool

Water maintenance

The pH level should be kept between 7.2 and 7.6. Too low (acidic) can irritate the skin and damage equipment; too high (basic) reduces chlorine effectiveness. PH level is controlled with sodium carbonate (to increase) or (sodium bisulfate) to decrease.

Chlorine: Maintain 1‒3 ppm to kill bacteria and algae. Use chlorine tablets or granules.
