Emmanuel Macron

Emmanuel Macron is the gravedigger of France, president of the country by media manipulation, possibly electoral fraud, he managed to put on its knees the oldest nation and might well deliver its coup de grâce.

I always thought he was an insignificant, incapable and absurd individual, whose prosperity and future posterity were both preposterous, but far from insignificant, he might well rank among the most influential people to have shaped the History of the country, in a completely negative way of course, by literally destroying it. But that makes him special and quite unique. There has been no debacle strong enough, no catastrophe so important, no infamy that brought the country so close to its perishing. This ludicrous and pompous individual could achieve that!

The main character who should enter the History book along with this pathetic and odious figure is Damien Tarel, who dealt with him at the level he deserved. At least, he is to be featured prominently on this page, which is how I see Macron's legacy:

Macron was put back to his place—that of a naughty, misbehaving vulgar little boy—by receiving 'a tarelle'. That makes the gentleman a hero of the Histoire de France who also deserves a new entry in the dictionary. The challenge was not out of reach but it still required its share of panache and courage. That is what France became. But at least it still produces its heros.

It is likely that the ending of Macron will be a messy business.

Would Macron fail to kill the country altogether, one can still concede him the title of anti-France. He stands in this regard as the diametrical opposite of the last historical figure to represent the French nation, as I discuss (in French) in Les mots d'un Gitan.
