The small print at the foot of every File: page, put there by MediaWiki:Gadget-filepage.js (wanted 0N2pV (af)). The gadget calls it with the kind of file: pdf, or the first half of the MIME type (image, video, audio, text, application…), so each kind can have its own wording; anything without its own line gets the #default one.

For a PDF named after a bibliography key (Laussy04a.pdf ↔ Template:Laussy04a), the gadget reads the citation and passes two more parameters: author=yes when Fabrice is among the authors (a link to F. P. Laussy, F.P. Laussy or F. Laussy), and vor= the citation's first external link, normally the DOI. Without a citation, a PDF counts as not his and as having no known version of record.
