[[{{{1}}}|Continue on ℤ ]] The hand-off line a cross-posted microblog entry ends with when its discussion carries on in the other branch. Written by the composer (microblog v1.35), not by hand: tick the other branch's box, and mark with the two keywords where the copies part. From 𝕐 these are __Z__, where 𝕐's copy ends, and __Y_Y__, where ℤ's copy begins (microblog v1.39); from ℤ, __Y__ and __Z_Z__. Either may be left out — without __Y_Y__ the other branch receives the entry from its first line, without __Z__ this one keeps it to its last — and each is on a button in the composer once the box is ticked.

  • Template:((continue|Z/August (2026)#Z-20260811-143005|ℤ|branch=ZTemplate:)) — "Continue on ℤ ⟶", linking to the full copy.
  • label= — the whole phrase, in place of "Continue on ℤ" (microblog v1.41). label=Proof elsewhere reads "Proof elsewhere ⟶": the glyph goes with the default wording it belonged to, and it is the ink that still says which branch the link points at. There is a box for it in the composer, beside the cut keys — leave it empty and the default wording stands. A pipe inside the phrase must be written Template:((!Template:)), which the composer does for you; an = needs nothing.
  • label=Also on ℤ is what the composer writes when nothing was cut and this branch carries the entry to its last line too.
  • branch= picks the ink: Z (default) the science green, Y 𝕐's cadet blue.

A span, not a div, and floated right by the stylesheet: the hand-off shares the entry's last line whenever there is room for it there, and drops to a line of its own only when there is not. It must therefore stay in the same paragraph as the text it closes — the composer writes it under that text with a single newline, which MediaWiki keeps inside the paragraph. A blank line before it would open a paragraph of its own and put it back on its own line.
