Gerhard C. Hegerfeldt is a theoretical physicist with whom I happen to share a lot of common interest, including resonance fluorescence, Monte Carlo methods (he is the inventor of the "quantum jump approach", simultaneously to Dalibard and Molmer's MCWF and Carmichael's trajectories), two-level systems, relativity in quantum mechanics, etc. I discovered him for his Ensemble versus Individual System in Quantum Optics[1] paper which has a title I could have used myself (related to my quantum-state ergodic hypothesis).
