Eclipse π π π π π π π π π
An Eclipse is the obstruction of one astronomical object by another. It has a lot of metaphorical uses too, describing such a recurrent and natural practice at the cosmic level.
Most often, one speaks of an eclipse to mean the solar eclipse, either complete or so-called annular. The former one is the most interesting case where the moons covers exactly the area of the sun, bringing to question the nature of this most improbable struck of divine chance: both objects have the same apparent size! The latter case is when the moon is farther from us and the covering is not perfect, leaving an annulus of light against the sun.
I have seen the 12 August (2026) total eclipse, in Burgo de Osma, Spain.
