Véronique Sanson is a French auteur-compositeur and a favourite artist of mine. She indeed reminds me Elena as a composer, not for the style itself but for the independence and freedom of its conviction.

The only reservation on her singing—that is otherwise fantastic especially for the range of tones—is the tremolo she over indulges with («quand il me reniiiiIIIiiiiIIIIiiiiIIIIe»).
