Ernesto Che Guevara

Fp.laussy.jpg All the revolutions are betrayed. But there are those who die before this happens.

The main reproach against Guevara is that he was a military. I take it from his Diario de Bolivia, however, that any loss of life that ensued from his armed struggle was the result of ongoing battles, and that he was humane with prisoners, whom he freed if he could not enroll them for his cause. I think this is believable and that if he ever acted otherwise, this was when circumstances did not allow it. And that makes, in my view, his military engagement a detail as compared to the ideals of his political and humanist ones.
