Commenting on blog posts

⇠ Back to Blog:Hacks

I hadn't really realized that the possibility for readers to comment on our blog was in fact disabled. Now, this should be remedied. Please say hello! My Wordpress blog used to have a few comments per month. I didn't worry to get much less activity because I am not narcissist but possibly this was a fault in logical judgement as in the long run there is little reason why this should change so dramatically. I mean, people are usually put off by wikis even when reduced to their simplest expression of entering mere text, whereas Wordpress is great at removing all inhibition even to the less technically minded. Okay, we'll see.

Please try: you can use wiki markup, such as

  • ''hey!'' (hey!)
  • that's '''bold''' of you (that's bold of you)
  • Hi from [http://https://plus.google.com/113703263025599260211/posts me] (Hi from me)
  • how was [[Itaipu]]? (how was Itaipu?)

etc., although you won't see the formatting in a preview.

There's need for some tweaking. Maybe the Comments extension is more suitable and powerful. However for a while that might be enough if someone has something important to say.
