Perrier (not to confuse with the mineral water) is a commmune from Puy-de-Dôme, nearby Issoire and on the way to the Parc des Volcans d'Auvergne, for which reason we often pass through. It is famous for the caves ("grottes de Perrier") which constitute the largest underground living ( troglodyte) settlement in Auvergne, composed of about 300 caves inhabited since, possibly, pre-history, and for sure since at least the celtic times.
