Antibunching vs sub-Poissonian

⇠ Back to Blog:Science

In the wake of my page where I collect people's faulty qualification of $g^{(2)}(0)<1/2$ as referring to a single-photon source, I here make a collection of the use of "antibunching" to mean $g^{(2)}<1$, which is also incorrect, although in a more innocuous way since this becomes terminology (rather than a conceptual mistake) and an abuse of language which most people seem to be aware of. We, ourselves, use this commodity very much in our own papers. The point is, there is no good word for $g^{(2)}<1$.
