Madrid in August
August is very hot in Madrid.
We'll spend most of it in the United States, though, one week in the ICPS conference (in Austin, Texas) where it probably is hotter still. Then another week of holidays in the Chicago area.

The score is, of course, Paco de Lucía's, namely, as you probably will have recognized: El Tempul, Almoraima, Danza de la Molinera and Solera.

Timelapsing the Plaza Mayor again!
More specifically, the corner of la puerta de Gerona, that gives to the Santa Cruz.
The Plaza Mayor is majestic even in still frames. It becomes a whole universe when set in motion.
The video is named after the sunshades that, from above and when moving faster through time, appear to be blooming.

Oh, and she too. On this day, she was dressed as a Disney character. On other occasions, she also poses as a Flamenco dancer, apparently she just changes the hat.

It is mesmerizing to see them dance whole day long with the little people of the Plaza.
Beauty everywhere! This character would perform not only a more useful but also a more interesting ballet on the square.
These majestic fellows, on the contrary, are a trifle too fast to be interesting. You can see them swap the screen from 12.14 to 12.17.
